About
New Zealanders and former teachers Mike and
Tricia founded Teachers Travel Web.
They wanted to make travelling easier and
more affordable, and give teaching professionals the opportunity to meet
colleagues in a very special way.
Our own experience with TTW
A few years ago, we realised a dream
of our own: a yearlong sabbatical that we spent travelling. TTW led us to
members in New Zealand, Australia,
the USA and Canada.
We had welcome breaks from staying in
backpackers' and in our tiny tent, saved heaps on accommodation and - most
important of all - made new friends and brought home fond memories.
We also stayed a few nights with Tricia and Mike and instantly became friends. They had in the meantime started off in another direction and did not have enough time to take care of TTW.
A fresh start
We had benefited from TTW in all kinds of ways. So of course we didn't want it to stop functioning. We talked about it with Mike and Tricia, through email and during their visits here. And then, we shook hands on it (actually, we gave each other a big hug): we are now taking care of Teachers Travel Web.
Our ambition is to take good care of the website, to find lots of new enthusiastic members, and to help you make your
stays with other members fun and rewarding.
We hope
to meet you in the Members' area soon, where you can enjoy all the advantages
of our growing community.
